Inscription: A MON SEUL DESIR
The lovely intricate background of many 15th century Flemish tapestries, filled with richly interwoven flowers is known as Mille Fleurs - “A thousand flowers”. A design based on this pattern forms the backing for an endearing rabbit taken from the Lady and the Unicorn tapestry in Musée de Cluny, Paris. The phrase in its formal banner reads ‘à mon seul desir’ which can be translated as ‘for my only love’. This beautiful intricate wall hanging could make the perfect gift for a child, a lover, or anyone fond of small sweet animals.
Please note this is not part of the Flower Garden Frieze range and so will not fit with the designs in that range.
Fixing Points: One hole: towards the top in amongst the flowers
