Welcome to Black Dog of Wells

The Black Dog of Wells workshop is situated in the heart of the beautiful City of Wells in Somerset. We create and market a unique range of intricate handcrafted bas relief tiles in natural terracotta which are full of detail and texture. These wall tiles are designed by prominent artist/designer Philippa Threlfall, who for many years has been making decorative tiles and ceramic murals which can be seen all over the country.

Made in Britain ~ we hand make all our wall plaques at our workshops in Wells.
Our clay comes from Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, also known as The Potteries.
We source all our presentation and packaging materials from British businesses.
We ship our tiles all over the UK and overseas including the United States, Canada,
