A name tile for that treasured pony or horse |
![]() A name tile for that treasured pony or horse mounted on blue card |
The design is taken from a child’s pottery plate made around 1820. It shows a boy looking after his noble pony.
The plate was made in Staffordshire by a method known as Transferware (which is still used today). An engraved image is printed on tissue paper and transferred onto the ceramic surface. On firing, the paper burns away but the image remains. This process is much swifter and cheaper than painting by hand.
This personalised tile can comfortably accommodate up to 12 characters. If the name is slightly longer please contact us so we can check that the name fits before ordering

The next firing will be at the end of June. Please get your orders to us before the 12th June.
July firing will be at the end of the month.
Daniel will be on holiday from 15th August to 10th September. He makes the personalised tiles but NO tiles will be made during this period. We aim to build up stock so a firing can go through in August along with any personalised tiles ordered before he goes away. If you are wanting a personalised tile during this period, please place your order well in advance.
Personalised tiles are added to stock made for the standard range. We never fire a kiln specially for a personalised tile.
