Our Shop
Black Dog of Wells is located right in the heart of the City of Wells at the foot of the Mendip Hills in Somerset. The drawing below is based on the map done by William Simes in 1735 showing a pictorial layout of the centre of Wells, which has hardly changed in nearly 300 years. To visit our shop you can view and print out our Wells Moat Walk Map or our Wells Street Map which both indicate where we are located. We have developed an invaluable information guide to the City of Wells and North Somerset. It highlights the best of what to see in the area along with events, activities, accommodation and restaurants. There is also travel information and useful A4 sized printable maps.
Our shop displays a complete range of our decorative terracotta wall plaques as well as seconds and discontinued ranges at reduced prices. We also display our range of glazed ceramic murals for home and garden and stone cast sculpture.
We are open most days from 9:00am to 5:00pm and often later in the Summer months. However, we cannot guarantee to always be here, particularly at the weekends. If you are making a special journey please telephone us (01749 672548) in advance to make sure we are open.
