I was delighted to purchase the Angel Piper tile in St Giles Cathedral shop recently and thought you might be interested in this. My grandfather, Louis Reid Deuchars (1870-1927) made the angel model from which the oak carving was made. In fact, he made the models for all the figures which were carved in wood or stone for the Thistle Chapel. So, I found it rather amusing that his angel is now immortalised in terracotta.

When I placed my last order I mentioned how I fell in love with your tiles when I found them at Hestercombe Gardens 3 or 4 years ago. I have purchased 7 tiles so far for my own garden and as gifts for discerning people I know will also love your work. When I give them as gifts I choose carefully because they are so special.
The warmth of the terracotta, the words, the designs, the careful and loving crafting adds something special to my garden and home, and combines all that represents being at peace and happy in those most special of places.
