I was delighted to purchase the Angel Piper tile in St Giles Cathedral shop recently and thought you might be interested in this. My grandfather, Louis Reid Deuchars (1870-1927) made the angel model from which the oak carving was made. In fact, he made the models for all the figures which were carved in wood or stone for the Thistle Chapel. So, I found it rather amusing that his angel is now immortalised in terracotta.

I received a wonderful tile for Christmas from my friend. I love it so much and would like to use them in my back splash in our kitchen.
