Are you looking for unusual British made gifts for your outlet?
At Black Dog of Wells we design and make a unique range of decorative relief tiles in natural frost proof terracotta. Designs are based on carvings, tapestries and engravings from all periods. These original wall decorations make excellent presents and they sell well through a variety of outlets associated with cathedrals, museums and historical centres as well as galleries & gift shops. With a RRP of £12-£13, they make imaginative and affordable gifts.
Each tile is approximately 10cm across and is mounted on thick blue or cream card and presented in a slipcase with a descriptive card.
We have a specially designed stand which we can offer you free to display our tiles. We are proud of our capacity to turn around orders quickly - nearly always within five working days.

We keep good stocks of all our designs. Follow the link to see the designs we promote for trade. Most trade orders are turned around within five working days.
We also keen to know if there is something that may not be selling in your outlet. We will happily exchange any items and we also cover the cost of carriage for a returned parcel.
If you have a mail order catalogue and would like to add our products to it but don't want to stock them, then we can provide a direct dispatch service.

Display Stand
To show our plaques at their best, we have designed an excellent compact stand. This is made of environmentally friendly natural brown card and we despatch it to you ready assembled and free with your first order.
Although only 30 cm square and 35 cm high, the stand holds up to twenty four units. The printed header briefly describes the product. For outlets with a large range of tiles we are happy to supply you with an extra stand.
If you have a stand that is now looking a little tired, we will send you a free replacement.
Commission a Tile

Why not commission us to produce a special terracotta? As a design-lead business we are always happy to discuss your ideas and can supply a rough sketch with no commitment on your part. The origination fee starts at £400 and rises depending on the complexity of the design and whether you want the tile to remain exclusive to you. From design to finished product takes about 7 to 10 weeks. There is a minimum first order of 50 units charged at our regular prices. |

For unique presentations specially made pieces such as crests, coats of arms or logos can be mounted under glass in a contemporary waxed ash frame. We have a larger frame with a crest (shown right) which measures 34 cm by 25 cm. We also have a smaller frame as featured in the picture below which measures 18 cm by 14 cm. The origination fee is the same as above and a minimum order of 20 units is required. Carriage is not included. Schools, councils and other organisations can order any of our existing designs framed in this way. The cost per unit excludes carriage and there is no minimum number required. |
