A gift for that very fine dog

Inscription: A VERY (dogs name) FINE DOG
Samuel Johnson (1709-84), compiler of the first English Dictionary, was not only a writer and critic, but also a renowned and witty conversationalist. Dr Johnson – as he is always known – was devoted to his cat Hodge who lived with him at 17 Gough Square, London. Although he is reputed to have said “...but he is a very fine cat indeed...” we would like to think that should he have owned a dog, Dr Johnson might well have said “Here lives a very fine dog indeed”.
We have created a special variation of the Fine Dog tile that allows for a short name to be added. Names with up to 6 letters will fit in this design. If the name is 7 letters please contact us to check we can fit this into the design before ordering. This makes an excellent gift for any dog lover, but it can also be used to remember a dog that has passed away. Just add your dogs name in the blank box above.
